Sa Pinto replaces Paciencia at Sporting

Lisbon, Portugal (Betting Express) - Sporting Lisbon fired manager Domingos Paciencia on Monday and has replaced him with Ricardo Sa Pinto.

Sa Pinto has been promoted to manager from his role in Sporting's youth setup, and the 39-year-old takes charge on a contract that runs until the summer of 2013.

Paciencia guided Braga to the Europa League final last season before joining Sporting over the summer.

However, a run of four successive defeats has seen the club slip 16 points back of league leaders Benfica and into fourth place.
