Washington, DC (Betting Express) - Vinny Castilla fell a single shy of the cycle and drove in four runs to lead Washington past Arizona, 5-3, in front of a sellout crowd of 45,596 at RFK Stadium. Baseball returned to the DC area for the first time in 34 years as president George W. Bush threw out the first pitch. Livan Hernandez (1-1) was solid over 8 1/3 innings. He surrendered three runs on three hits and six walks, while striking out five as the Nationals won their third straight contest. Chad Cordero earned the save, after he recorded the final two outs of the contest. Ryan Church collected two hits and Brian Schneider chipped in an RBI for Washington. Chad Tracy belted a three-run homer for the Diamondbacks, who saw their four- game winning streak snapped.

Final Score: New York 4, Houston 3

Flushing, NY (Betting Express) - Jose Reyes drove in the tying run with an infield single and scored the go-ahead run during a three-run seventh, as the New York Mets rallied to defeat the Houston Astros, 4-3, and sweep this three-game series at Shea Stadium. Doug Mientkiewicz added two hits and an RBI for the Mets, winners of four straight games after starting the season 0-5. Carlos Beltran added a hit and a run scored for New York. Luke Scott had a career-high three hits and an RBI for the Astros, who were swept by the Mets for the first time since April 28-30, 1992.
