San Diego, CA (Betting Express) - The San Diego Chargers placed offensive tackle Marcus NcNeill on injured reserve Wednesday.

McNeill started the season's first nine games at left tackle, but was inactive for each of San Diego's last two games after suffering a neck injury against Oakland on November 10.

The Chargers replaced McNeill by adding Jared Gaither off waivers. The 6- foot-9 Gaither played in 10 games for the Kansas City Chiefs this season before he was waived on Tuesday.

A fifth-round pick by Baltimore in the NFL's 2007 Supplemental Draft, Gaither spent his first four seasons with the Ravens, starting 28 of 33 career games at left tackle. He joined Kansas City as an unrestricted free agent in August.
