Homestead, FL (Betting Express) - Austin Dillon capture his seventh pole during his sensational rookie season in the Camping World Truck Series after posting the quickest lap in Friday's qualifying for the Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Dillon will finish the season with the most poles in the series after turning a lap of 170.622 m.p.h. around the 1.5-mile South Florida track.
"It's cool to go out and get poles, but we need those wins," said Dillon, who has scored two truck victories so far this year. "That's what were focused on for next year. Hopefully, this right here will lead us into next season."
Kyle Busch, who leads the series with seven wins, qualified on the outside pole with a lap of 169.827 m.p.h.
Johnny Sauter will start third, followed by Elliott Sadler and Aric Almirola.
Todd Bodine, the 2010 series champion, will start eighth. Bodine clinched the title with a 12th-place finish last Friday at Phoenix. He holds a 202-point lead over Almirola entering the season-ending race.
Mike Harmon and Brian Johnson Jr. failed to qualify.
The 201-mile race at Homestead is scheduled to start just after 8:00 p.m. (et).
