Boston, MA (Betting Express) - The New England Patriots have reportedly agreed to terms with former Falcons and Titans tight end Alge Crumpler on an undisclosed contract. According to the Boston Herald, Crumpler will help replace the void created by the departures of tight ends Benjamin Watson and Chris Baker. Crumpler spent the last two seasons in Tennessee and caught 27 passes for 222 yards and a touchdown in 16 games in 2009. He recorded four straight years of at least five touchdowns for the Falcons from 2004-07 but has served primarily as a blocking tight end in recent years. The report states the deal is expected to become official at some point in the next week. In his career, spanning nine seasons, Crumpler has caught 367 passes for 3,691 yards and 37 touchdowns.
