Nashville, TN (Betting Express) - The Tennessee Titans have acquired defensive end Jason Babin after the Eagles declined to match the offer sheet executed by Tennessee on Wednesday. Babin played in 12 games last season and recorded 20 tackles and 2 1/2 sacks for Philadelphia, which had a right-of-first-refusal clause written into Babin's previous contract. "We're happy our deal with Jason worked out," said Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt. "He's a high-energy player and a good pass rusher, and he fits what we do very well. He has all offseason to come in and work with Coach (Jim) Washburn and become a part of our rotation at defensive end." The 29-year-old has played in parts of seven seasons for Philadelphia, Kansas City, Seattle and Houston, which made him a first-round pick (27th overall) in 2004 out of Western Michigan. In 66 career games, Babin has compiled 197 tackles and 17 1/2 sacks.
