Glendale, AZ (Betting Express) - The Phoenix Coyotes signed free agent center Petr Nedved and traded center Daymond Langkow to the Calgary Flames on Thursday.

Nedved inked a three-year deal, while Langkow was swapped for defenseman Denis Gauthier and forward Oleg Saprykin.

Last season, the 6-foot-3, 196-pound Nedved played in 81 games with the New York Rangers and Edmonton Oilers, recording 19 goals and 27 assists for 46 points.

The 32-year-old has played 13 seasons with Vancouver, St. Louis, the Rangers, Pittsburgh and the Oilers, recording 301 goals and 379 assists for 680 points in 889 games.

"In Petr Nedved, we have acquired a center who handles the puck very well and will be a valuable addition to our power play," said Coyotes general manager Michael Barnett. "Petr consistently averages 50-60 points per season."

Last season, Gauthier played in 80 games for the Flames, setting career highs in assists (15), points (16) and penalty minutes (113). The seven-year veteran has 13 goals and 45 assists for 58 career points.

Last season, Saprykin played in 69 games with the Flames, setting career highs in games played, goals (12), assists (17) and points (29). In five seasons with the Flames, Saprykin has played in 187 NHL games, recording 29 goals and 47 assists for 76 points.

"We have indeed given up a proven and consistent NHL player in Daymond Langkow," added Barnett. "In return, we have enhanced our roster with the addition of three large and talented NHL players."

Langkow played in 81 games for the Coyotes last season, registering 21 goals and 31 assists for 52 points. Langkow finished tied for second on the team in points.

In nine NHL seasons with Tampa Bay, Philadelphia and Phoenix, Langkow has played in 625 games, registering 136 goals and 218 assists for 354 points.
