Charlotte, NC (Betting Express) - Free agent guard Corey Benjamin is the latest player to join the expansion Charlotte Bobcats, signing with the club on Thursday. Benjamin has bounced around since being drafted in the first round by the Chicago Bulls in 1998. He played 144 games with Chicago, averaging 5.5 points and 1.5 rebounds. He then had stints with teams in Italy, France and U.S. developmental leagues, as well as the Atlanta Hawks during the 2002-03 season. The former Oregon State Beaver proved his versatility this summer by playing four positions for the Bobcats in the Minnesota summer league, scoring 7.4 points and grabbing 1.8 rebounds per contest.
