Baltimore, MD (Betting Express) - The Baltimore Orioles Monday acquired outfielder Karim Garcia from the New York Mets in exchange for pitcher Mike DeJean. In 62 games for the Mets this season, the 28-year-old Garcia batted .234 with seven homers and 22 RBI. Garcia was just activated from the disabled list earlier this month after missing close to three weeks with tendinitis in his left wrist. In parts of 10 major league seasons, Garcia has batted .242 with 63 homers. DeJean, a reliever who signed with Baltimore in the offseason, is 0-5 with a disappointing 6.13 ERA this year. "I'm excited to come to New York and be in the middle of a pennant race," said DeJean. DeJean combined to go 5-8 with 19 saves and a 4.68 ERA in 76 games between the Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals last season. He has a 24-29 record in eight major league seasons and has also pitched for Colorado.
