Cleveland, OH (Betting Express) - The Cleveland Indians announced the signing of pitchers Kirk Saarloos and Greg Aquino to minor league contracts with a non-roster invitation to spring training on Wednesday. The right-handed Saarloos is a veteran of seven seasons, posting a 1-0 mark with a 5.47 earned run average over 26 1/3 innings for the Athletics in 2008. He owns a career record of 29-30 with a 5.02 ERA in 165 games (73 starts) for Oakland, Cincinnati and Houston. Aquino, also a righty, appeared in nine games for Baltimore last season pitching to a 12.54 ERA. In five seasons for the Diamondbacks, Brewers and Orioles, Aquino is 2-4 with a 5.40 ERA and 17 saves over 135 appearances. |
