Green Bay, WI (Betting Express) - The Green Bay Packers announced the release of six assistant coaches on Monday, including defensive coordinator Bob Sanders. Defensive ends coach Carl Hairston, defensive tackles coach Robert Nunn, secondary coach Kurt Schottenheimer, defensive nickel package/cornerbacks coach Lionel Washington and strength and conditioning coordinator Rock Gullickson were the other coaches fired by the team. "These are difficult decisions," Green Bay head coach Mike McCarthy said. "I hold each of these men in high regard on a personal level, and I want to thank them for their service to the Green Bay Packers." The Packers finished the season with a disappointing 6-10 record. The defense ranked 20th in the league in yards per game, allowing 334.3 yards.
