New York, NY (Betting Express) - The Atlanta Dream won the draft lottery and will have the top pick in the 2009 WNBA Draft, which will be held in April.

Atlanta had 420 chances out of 1,000 to receive the first overall selection. The lottery went according to odds for the first time in league history. The Washington Mystics will have the second pick in the draft followed by the Chicago Sky.

Minnesota will select fourth and Phoenix fifth.

The Dream went 4-30 last season, their first in the WNBA.

Indiana will select sixth, followed by Sacramento, New York, Washington (from LA Sparks), Connecticut, Detroit, Seattle and the Dream again (from San Antonio).
