Syracuse, NY (Betting Express) - Paul Harris netted 22 points as the 16h-ranked Syracuse Orange dominated the Colgate Raiders in an 86-51 win at the Carrier Dome.

Jonny Flynn had 12 points and a game-high seven assists for Syracuse (7-0), which over the last seven days has also won the CBE Classic by knocking off nationally-ranked foes Florida and Kansas on back-to-back days, followed by a win against Virginia last Friday.

Rick Jackson had 10 points and 10 boards while Arinze Onuaku also logged 10 points for the Orange, who shot 50.8 percent from the floor.

"I thought we came out and did a really nice job defensively in the first half. We were focused as well as we could be. I just think we were sharp coming off the games we just had to play," Orange head coach Jim Boeheim said.

Monday's win was the second of a six-game homestand for the Orange, who will not leave home until a December 20 showdown at Memphis. Next on the schedule is Cornell, scheduled to tip-off Wednesday evening.

Syracuse has now won the last 43 meetings against the Raiders.

Mike Venezia was the high-man on the other end with eight points while Joe Hoban had seven for Colgate (2-3), which opened its season with consecutive wins over Central Connecticut and Dartmouth, but fell back to .500 with losses to Kennesaw State and most recently UC Riverside.

The Raiders return home to play New Hampshire on Wednesday before hosting Harvard.

The Orange started the game with a 15-2 surge and stretched the lead to 37-7 with just about six minutes left in the first half before finishing with a commanding 43-13 advantage. Colgate was horrendous in the first half, hitting just 5-of-29 field goals for a 17.2 shooting percentage.

The second half was much of the same as Syracuse notched an equal amount of points with the bench logging most of the minutes. The Raiders did, however, improve on their 13-point first half with a 38-point showing.

Game Notes

Monday's game represented the 161st all-time meeting between Syracuse and Colgate, with the Orange holding a 116-45 advantage...Syracuse got 33 points from its bench to Colgate's 22...The Raiders' starting five hit just 11-of-32 shots from the floor.
