Salt Lake City, UT (Betting Express) - Devin Harris scored 34 points and doled out six assists to lead the New Jersey Nets in a 105-88 thrashing of the Utah Jazz.

Vince Carter added 22 points for the Nets, who have won two straight and six of eight overall. Yi Jianlian had 11 points and Bobby Simmons 10 in the win.

Paul Millsap had 20 points and 10 boards for the Jazz, who saw their two-game win streak come to an end. C.J. Miles poured in 16 points, while Deron Williams had 10 points and 13 assists. Mehmet Okur had 10 points and 11 boards.

Utah jumped out to a slight 29-28 lead after the first quarter, but the Nets grabbed a 59-51 lead at the intermission.

Down by nine early in the third, five points from Miles and a jumper by Okur brought the Jazz within 64-60 with just under eight minutes left in the frame.

Yi answered with a three-pointer that sparked eight straight New Jersey points. As Harris knocked down a layup to close out the surge, the Nets were up 72-60.

New Jersey's lead stayed around 13 for the rest of the third, and Carter drained a late three-pointer to make it 83-67 heading into the fourth stanza.

"We're not going to make any excuses about it," said Millsap. "It's hard to say but I guess it was a lack of focus. The whole game, just being a step behind."

Two Harris baskets and a jumper by Jarvis Hayes opened a 23-point Nets lead with about 8 1/2 minutes left in the game.

The Nets' lead hovered around 20 the rest of the way.

"We don't need to play at the level of our competition," Harris said. "If they're not having a great game it doesn't mean that we need to play at their level. We need to step it up and play at our level and I think we did that tonight."

Game Notes

The Jazz fell to 8-2 in Salt Lake City this season...Both teams split a pair of meetings last year, but New Jersey has won eight of the last 10 in the series...The Nets had lost 11 of their previous 14 games at Utah.
