Berea, OH (Betting Express) - The Cleveland Browns have released quarterback Tim Couch, cutting ties with the player that was supposed to be the cornerstone of the franchise. According to WKYC Channel 3 in Cleveland, Couch's agent said the Browns released the former No. 1 pick on Wednesday afternoon. Calls to the Browns' administrative office in Berea to confirm the move went unanswered. Couch never developed into the player the Browns expected in five often turbulent seasons. He finishes his career in Cleveland completing 1,025- of-1,714 passes for 11,131 yards with 64 touchdowns and 67 interceptions.
