=== Toronto Blue Jays Team Report - May 25 === (Betting Express) - Chris Gomez scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning on a botched rundown by the Anaheim defense, as the Toronto Blue Jays rallied for a 6-5 victory over the Angels in the opener of a three-game series at SkyDome. Josh Phelps drove in two runs for the Blue Jays, who were coming off a three- game sweep at the hands of Boston. Toronto also snapped a four-game losing streak. Gomez reached on a fielder's choice in the 10th and took second when Eric Hinske walked. After Phelps flied to right for the second out, Simon Pond hit a hot shot between first and second. Anaheim first baseman Casey Kotchman knocked the ball down with a dive and the ball trickled behind him. Gomez raced around third base and was halfway home when the throw from second baseman Adam Kennedy reached the plate. Catcher Bengie Molina ran Gomez back toward third and threw to Alfredo Amezaga, who had no one to throw it back to. Pitcher Ben Weber should have been covering the plate, but he had raced over to first for a potential throw there and was late getting to home, allowing Gomez to slide across with the winning run. It was not all good news for Toronto, as it lost first baseman Carlos Delgado with a jammed right knee in the third inning. He was injured while sliding into second base. The teams have an off day on Tuesday before resuming their series on Wednesday night.
