Sunrise, FL (Betting Express) - The Florida Panthers on Monday sent forward Marcus Nilson to the Calgary Flames in exchange for a second-round draft pick in this summer's draft. The 26-year-old Nilson had six goals and 13 assists in 69 games with Florida this season. Nilson, a Balsta, Sweden native, was Florida's first pick (20th overall) in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. Also on Monday, the Panthers acquired center Kamil Piros from the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for defenseman Kyle Rossiter. "He's an NHL skater with a lot of skill," Panthers general manager Rick Dudley said of Piros. "He's a gritty player that gives us more depth at the forward position."
