Uniondale, NY (Betting Express) - New York Islanders goaltender Rick DiPietro was forced to leave Saturday's 3-2 victory over Pittsburgh after being hit in the right eye by a stick in the second period. He was hurt in a collision with Sidney Crosby's stick. As the Penguins' captain skated by the right side of the net with about six minutes left in the period, his stick caught DiPietro in the eye. DiPietro, who could see out of the bruised eye, was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
