Denver, CO (Betting Express) - The Denver Nuggets signed free agent guard Jon Barry. As per team policy, terms of the deal were not released, but previously published reports said the contract was for one year. Barry, 34, has played 11 NBA seasons and was a key player off the bench for the Pistons last year. The Georgia Tech product averaged 6.9 points and 2.6 assists in 18.4 minutes per game. The 6-5 shooting guard ended last season 10th in the league with a 41 percent field goal percentage and he was seventh in the NBA in three-pointers made per 48 minutes (2.84). Barry, who is the son of basketball Hall of Famer Rick Barry and the brother of Seattle guard Brent, has also had stints with Milwaukee, Golden State, Atlanta, the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento. For his career, Barry has posted 5.7 points, 2.1 assists and 1.8 rebounds per contest. He also has averaged 85 percent from the free throw line and 39 percent from behind-the-arc.
