Detroit, MI (Betting Express) - Texas Rangers righthander Ismael Valdes was activated from the 15-day disabled list in time to start Monday's game against Detroit, but was forced to leave the contest with a right leg cramp. Valdes, who was on the DL with left knee tendinitis, left Monday's game with one out in the seventh inning. He was charged with one run on three hits in 6 1/3 innings and left the contest leading 2-1. The veteran, who did not get a decision on Monday, is 7-7 with a 5.97 ERA for Texas this season. The Rangers won Monday's game, 4-2, in 16 innings on a two-run homer by Alex Rodriguez.
