Phoenix, AZ (Betting Express) - The Los Angeles Dodgers activated outfielder Dave Roberts from the 15-day disabled list on Saturday.

Roberts had been on the DL retroactive to July 2 with a strained right hamstring. It marked the second time this year the team's centerfielder and leadoff man has suffered the ailment. He previously was on the 15-day DL in May with the same problem.

On the season, Roberts is hitting .250 with one homer and 10 RBI in 59 games played.

To make room for Roberts, Los Angeles optioned outfielder Wilkin Ruan to Triple-A Las Vegas.
