=== Rangers sign tough-guy Simon === New York, NY (Betting Express) - The New York Rangers agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent left wing Chris Simon. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 31-year-old Simon played 10 games for Washington and 61 for Chicago last season and had 12 goals, eight assists and 148 penalty minutes. "Chris is a player who has established himself as a physical presence over his career in the National Hockey League," said Rangers president, general manager and head coach Glen Sather. "He is a tremendous team player who we expect to make a great contribution to the overall success of our hockey club." An 11-year veteran, Simon spent his first four years in the NHL with the Quebec Nordiques/Colorado Avalanche. He has played in 527 games over his career and has recorded 108 goals, 117 assists and 1,346 penalty minutes.
