Salo, a restricted free agent, posted career highs with nine goals, 21 assists and 30 points for the Canucks last season. He spent the first four years of his career with the Ottawa Senators before coming to Vancouver in exchange for Peter Schaefer prior to the 2002-03 season. In 274 NHL games, the 28-year-old has 28 career goals and 99 points. Mats Lindgren, also 28-years-old and a restricted free agent, re-signed with Vancouver on Thursday. Last year, he finished with five goals and 14 points in 54 games. Lindgren has played seven seasons in the NHL, tallying 54 goals and 74 assists in 387 career games with the Edmonton Oilers and the New York Islanders. |
