(Betting Express) - The Phillies will attempt to avoid their first sweep at the hands of the Florida Marlins since 2000 this afternoon at Veterans Stadium.

On Saturday, the Phillies lost their third in four games, falling 5-4. Marlon Byrd and Pat Burrell each drove in a run on Saturday for the Phillies, who have lost three of their last four after a seven-game winning streak. Mike Lieberthal had three of the five hits allowed by Penny. David Bell has reached base in 12 straight games

With the loss, the Phillies dropped another game in the standings, pushing them 6 1/2 contests back of first-place Atlanta in the NL East.

Vicente Padilla (7-8) was tagged with the loss after allowing five runs on six hits in just five innings.

Philly will send ace lefty Randy Wolf to the mound today. Wolf is without a loss (4-0) in his last six starts, including a no-decision against Chicago on Tuesday. The southpaw held the Cubs to just seven hits and three runs over six innings, while fanning seven and walking one. Philly ended up winning the contest, 4-3.

Wolf picked up a victory in his only other start versus Florida this year, limiting it to three hits and a run over six innings. For his career, Wolf has registered a porous 2-7 record with a 5.16 ERA against the Marlins.

The Marlins own a slight 5-4 advantage in the 2003 series between the clubs.
