Golden State Warriors conclude a three-game homestand when they host the
Memphis Grizzlies today at ORACLE Arena.
The Warriors are two games behind the Clippers and Nuggets for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Golden State is 1-1 on the stand. Jason Richardson scored a season-high 36 points and buried a franchise-record eight shots from beyond the arc, as the Warriors held off a furious Phoenix comeback for a 124-119 victory on Thursday at ORACLE Arena.
Richardson ended 14-of-23 from the field, including 8-of-13 from three-point range. He also grabbed 12 rebounds in the victory for the Warriors, who lost the opener of the homestand to the San Antonio Spurs, 126-89.
Stephen Jackson had 29 points, six rebounds and seven assists in the win over the Suns for Golden State, which snapped a two-game skid. Baron Davis collected 21 points, eight boards and 12 assists in the victory.
The Warriors are 26-11 at home this season. After today's game, they will embark on a three-game road trip. Golden State is scheduled to visit Houston, Memphis and San Antonio on the upcoming swing.
Memphis wraps up a six-game road trip. On Friday, Nick Collison posted 22 points and 12 rebounds as the Seattle SuperSonics routed the NBA-worst Grizzlies, 120-93, at KeyArena.
Hakim Warrick posted 26 points and 11 boards for the Grizzlies, who had won two in a row for the first time this season before falling to Seattle. Tarance Kinsey ended with 20 points and Pau Gasol scored 16 in the loss.
The Grizzlies, who are 2-3 on the swing, are a dismal 7-31 on the road this season. They return home to host the Suns on Tuesday and Golden State on Friday at the FedExForum.
This is the third of four meetings between the clubs this season. The teams split the first two contests, as both squads picked up a win at home.
Memphis has lost two of its last three games at Golden State.
