Ottawa, Ontario (Betting Express) - The Ottawa Senators have recalled highly touted teenager Jason Spezza from Binghamton of the American Hockey League. Spezza, 19, was recalled after center Radek Bonk was injured in the Senators' 4-1 win over Carolina Wednesday night. Bonk, who suffered a chest injury, experienced pain after finishing the game. He will be re-examined Thursday and is listed as day-to-day. The Senators selected Spezza with the second overall pick in the June 2001 NHL Entry Draft. The pick was acquired from the New York Islanders along with defenseman Zdeno Chara and right wing Bill Muckalt in the trade for star center Alexei Yashin. Spezza, a center, had three goals and three assists in six games with the Binghamton Senators.
