Herring had nine tackles and one interception in 11 games this year. The Saints also signed offensive lineman Eric Olsen off the Washington Redskins' practice squad and promoted linebacker Nate Bussey to the active roster. The NFC South-champion Saints are the third seed and will welcome the Lions to town on Saturday in the first round of the playoffs. |

Ponder got up and walked off the field with help. He was carted to the locker room once on the sideline and his return is questionable.
