Titans eager for camp after hectic offseason NFL Football 07/30/2010

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -It's time for Jeff Fisher to open his 16th straight training camp with the Tennessee Titans, and that first practice Saturday will be a welcome return to football after a busy offseason.

Fisher expects Chris Johnson to show up, happy the Titans reshuffled some money to pay him more for 2010. Vince Young will be available for all 16 games, and Fisher hopes maybe more, with the NFL not punishing him for a Dallas strip club tussle in June.

And Fisher had to reshuffle his coaching staf

Kiffin thinks lawsuit motivated by location Division I College Football 07/29/2010

PASADENA, Calif. (AP) -Lane Kiffin thinks the Tennessee Titans' lawsuit against him and the University of Southern California is more about geography than coaching etiquette.

Kiffin claimed he wasn't allowed to say much Thursday at the Pac-10 media day about the suit facing Kiffin and the Trojans, who angered Titans coach Jeff Fisher by abruptly hiring running backs coach Kennedy Pola last weekend.

Yet Kiffin couldn't stop himself from intimating the lawsuit has something to do with his stormy history in

Nashville, TN (BettingExpress) - Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young will reportedly escape punishment by the NFL for his part in a fight at a Dallas strip club last month. The Tennessean cited unnamed sources ahead of the league's official announcement, which is expected to be made as early as today. Young received an assault citation for his involvement in a scuffle that was caught on video surveillance showing him fighting with several people in a small room at Club Onyx on June 13. Titans promote quarterbacks coach Craig Johnson NFL Football 07/28/2010

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -The Tennessee Titans have promoted Craig Johnson to assistant head coach and running backs coach.

Johnson takes over for Kennedy Pola, who left the Titans for Southern California on Saturday, just five months after being hired. Pola's departure prompted the Titans to sue Southern California and Trojans coach Lane Kiffin for interfering with Pola's contract a week before training camp.

Johnson is in his 11th season with the Titans and has worked as quarterbacks coach for the past ei
