| (BettingExpress) - Alex Webster, who was a New York Giants running back for 10 seasons, then their head coach for five, has died. He was 80. The Giants said Webster died Saturday in Port St. Lucie Hospital in Florida. Webster rushed for 4,638 yards and 39 touchdowns for the Giants from 1955 to 1964 and won an NFL Championship in 1956. | The Atlanta Falcons have placed the franchise tag on cornerback Brent Grimes. After starting all 16 games and earning a Pro Bowl nod thanks to five interceptions and 87 tackles in 2010, Grimes was bothered by a knee injury during the 2011 season and started just 12 games. He had 49 tackles with one interception and missed Atlanta's NFC playoff game against the New York Giants.
