The team that took two first-round projects (Tim Tebow, Demaryius Thomas) in this past April's draft and cut ties with their best playmaker (Brandon Marshall) did something pragmatic on the other side of the ball on Friday, signing pass rusher Elvis Dumervil to a reported six-year, $61.5 million contract extension, including more than $40 million guaranteed.
