Familiarity on hand in Niners-Bengals matchup NFL Football 09/23/2011
(BettingExpress) - When the San Francisco 49ers' offense takes the field on Sunday to face the Cincinnati Bengals, it may look a little like last year's practices, given the number of former teammates that will be on the other side of the ball. And when San Francisco's defense squares off against the Cincinnati offense, it will be trying to slow down one of the NFL's most exciting rookie duos. Cornerback Nate Clements and freshman quarterback Andy Dalton lead the Bengals into this weekend's home opener against t

Bengals RB Benson suspended three games NFL Football 09/22/2011
Culver City, CA (BettingExpress) - Cincinnati Bengals running back Cedric Benson has been suspended for three games in the wake of offseason misconduct. Benson served a 20-day jail sentence in Texas on a charge of misdemeanor assault, after pleading no contest following a 2010 incident involving an employee in an Austin, Texas bar. The seven-year pro will appeal the suspension, according Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, who quotes a source close to the situation.
Bengals' WR Caldwell gets his chance to emerge NFL Football 09/22/2011

CINCINNATI (AP) - Andre Caldwell was delighted when he checked into the Cincinnati Bengals training camp in July and discovered he'd been assigned Chad Ochocinco's old room: No. 113.

The receiver took it as a sign that he was finally going to get a chance to start.

``I feel like this is the start of the Caldwell Era for me,'' he said, that sunny July day in Georgetown, Ky.

It's taken three games and one injury for that era to arrive.

The fourth-year receiver will get a lot more time now that Jordan Shi

DENVER (AP) - The Denver Broncos' injury epidemic has gotten so bad that Tim Tebow is running routes.

The Broncos lost two more key players Sunday but held on to beat the Cincinnati Bengals 24-22 for coach John Fox's first win in Denver.

One of them, nose tackle Ty Warren, was placed on injured reserve Satur

Broncos hang on to beat Bengals NFL Football 09/18/2011
Denver, CO (BettingExpress) - Kyle Orton threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns on 15-of-25 passing and the Denver Broncos defense came up huge at the end of the game to preserve a 24-22 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati had the ball at its own five-yard line with just over two minutes remaining in the game and rookie quarterback Andy Dalton showed poise as he led the offense as far as Denver's 48-yard line. Facing a 2nd-and-10, Dalton was sacked and then threw an incompletion on third down, leaving th

Bengals shoot for surprising start in Denver NFL Football 09/16/2011
Authority Field at Mile High expressed audible (to some) discontent with the Denver Broncos' quarterback situation, the team and its first-year coach will once again head to the sidelines in search of win No. 1 on the 2011 schedule when it hosts the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The Broncos dropped a 23-20 decision to Oakland in a Monday season opener in which starting signal-caller Kyle Orton completed 24 passes for 304 yards and a touchdown, but was sacked five times, intercepted once and fumbled once more -- p
